# Notifications

> What StudentHub notifies you about, and how to turn each one off.

StudentHub keeps notifications calm. You choose what you hear about, and nothing is sent from a server. They are scheduled on your device, in your language and your time zone.

## Turn them on

Go to **Settings, Notifications and access**. If StudentHub cannot send notifications yet, tap **Turn on notifications** and allow them. If you said no earlier, grant access in your device settings.

## What you are notified about

| Notification | On by default | When |
| - | - | - |
| Tasks | Yes | When the deadline passes |
| Deadlines in Work & deadlines | Yes | The day before, at 12:00 |
| Study blocks | Yes | Before the block starts, at the time you pick |
| Shifts | No | Before the shift starts, at the time you pick |
| Weekly review reminder | Yes | Sunday at 5 PM, when you have flashcards to review |
| Tips and reminders | Yes | At most one a day |

Tips and reminders are about a recording that has not been written out, and about material you have not used in Studio yet.

## How early

Under **Notify me** you choose when study blocks and shifts remind you: at the start time, 5, 15 or 30 minutes before, 1 hour before or 1 day before.

## Tap to open

Tap a notification and StudentHub opens the right place: your calendar day for a study block, and the right module for the rest.
