# Flashcards and quizzes

> Make decks, practice, and take quizzes. All of it is free.

## Make a deck

Create a deck, then add cards yourself, or let Studio make them from your notes, recordings and files.

**1. Create a deck**

Tap **New deck** and give it a name. Decks can belong to a subject.

**2. Add cards**

Add cards with a front and a back by hand, or choose **Create cards with AI** and pick the sources.

**3. Choose how many**

When you let AI make cards, you pick how many you want. The new cards are added to the deck.

Making cards with AI uses one study action. Writing cards yourself is free.

## Practice or Quiz

**Practice** shows the cards one by one, and you say yourself whether you knew the answer.

**Quiz** gives you multiple choice. It needs at least two cards, and at least one with text on the back.

Both are free, and you can use them as much as you like.

## Stuck on a card?

Tap **Explain this card** and the app explains it, with an example. It is made on your device, and it is free.

## Weekly reminder

If you have cards to review, StudentHub sends one reminder a week, on Sunday at 5 PM. You can turn it off in [Notifications](https://help.getstudenthub.app/settings/notifications.md).
