Almost everything in StudentHub is free. Two things use a study action, because they are the heavy work: transcribing a recording, and running Studio.

What uses one

One study action is one transcription of a recording, or one Studio run, like a set of flashcards or a summary.

What is free

Recording, writing notes, importing files, practicing cards and taking quizzes cost nothing. Explaining a card is free too.

How you get them

  • 3 free every month. They refill on the first day of the next month. The free ones are used before the ones you bought, so a pack lasts longer.
  • Buy a pack. A pack of 15 study actions is a one-time purchase. It does not renew automatically and you can buy it as many times as you like. What you buy never expires.
  • Earn them. Each quest you finish gives you one. See Free study actions.
  • Go Pro. Pro makes transcription and Studio unlimited. See StudentHub Pro.
Study actions follow your Apple Account, so they are available on your other devices too.

Get the most from each one

Select all the sources you want in the same Studio run. One run with the lecture, your note and the syllabus file costs the same as one with only the note. Transcribe a recording once and reuse the text in later runs.
Open the study actions screen and wait a moment. The app gets your purchases from iCloud, which can take a few seconds. If you changed phone, sign in with the same Apple Account.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
