Studio turns the material you have gathered into study material. It builds on Apple Intelligence and runs on your device.

What Studio makes

  • Flashcards
  • Quiz
  • Summary
  • Study questions

How to use it

1

Choose your sources

Pick the notes, transcriptions and files you want to build from.
2

Choose what to make

Tap one of the actions below the sources, for example Create Flashcards.
3

Wait a moment

A progress screen shows what Studio is working on. You can cancel while it runs.
4

Review the result

Keep what you like, or discard it and run Studio again with other sources.

Get the most from each run

One run costs one study action, no matter how many sources you pick. Select every source you want in the same run. A run with the lecture, your note and the syllabus file costs the same as one with only the note. There is no fixed limit on how much you can select. If the material is very long, the model reads evenly spread extracts instead of every word. Two or three sources that belong together give sharper material than ten that do not.
Transcribe a recording once, then reuse that text in every later run.

Requirements

Studio needs Apple Intelligence. If your device does not support it, or it is turned off, Studio is not available. Recording, transcription and the rest of the app work as usual. To turn it on, go to Settings, Apple Intelligence & Siri. The first time, the model has to download. Studio works when it is done.

When Studio says no

Now and then the on-device model will not work with a particular piece of material. It happens with topics like health, politics and law, or when the text is short or mostly keywords. Try another note, or pick several sources together.
